Ashcroft Heritage Films
Ashcroft Arts Centre worked with five local secondary schools in Fareham and Gosport on a project in Spring and Summer 2011, to discover local history and create original films.

All five groups carried out research into their local area and then each chose a specific story to look into further. The young people also worked with creative practitioners and a professional film company to create their own interpretation of the stories they had chosen.

The films were screened at Ashcroft Arts Centre in July 2011 as part of the first Ashcroft Heritage Film Festival and the project was celebrated with an Awards Ceremony, where the young people were presented with certificates and certain individuals and groups won awards for their achievements.
